KEOKUK, Iowa - Robert Herman Lubker, 72, of Keokuk, Iowa, died Sunday (July 28, 2013) at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.|
He was born on Feb. 9, 1941, in Mendon, a son to Sidney and Alta Alma Eshom Lubker. Robert married Patricia Pauline Ricker on Aug. 27, 1967, in Keokuk. She died Feb. 26, 2005.
Robert lived most of his life in Keokuk and worked at Hubinger Co., now Roquette for 40 years. He served in the United States Marine Corps.
He is survived by one brother, Vern Lubker and his wife, Dianne, of Lima, Ill.; three sisters, Audine Jung and her husband, Gerhard of Bowen, Ill., Florence Martens of Carthage, Ill., and Theresa Harness and her husband, Kent, of Sutter, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; his parents; two brothers-in-law, Paul Martens and Dale Wollbrink; and a niece, Trudy Wollbrink.
SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Thursday celebration of his life will be at DeJong-Greaves Celebration of Life Centers located at 917 Blondeau St. in Keokuk, with the Rev. Kurt Hoover officiating. Burial will be in Keokuk National Cemetery with military rites.
VISITATION: 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home
MEMORIALS: St. John's Episcopal Church in Keokuk, Salvation Army or donor's choice.
