BARRY, Ill. - William R. "Will" Fee, 83, of Barry, died at 3:50 p.m. Friday (Nov. 1, 2013) in the Barry Community Care Center in Barry.

He was born Aug. 21, 1930, in Hadley Township, Pike County, to Zane and Nina (Fitch) Fee. They preceded him in death. He married Eleanor Y. Phillips, on Sept. 16, 1951, in New Canton, She survives in Barry.
Will served three years with the Army stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He earned a bachelor's degree from Western Illinois University and later his master's at Northern Illinois University. He taught high school for 35 years as well as coaching track, baseball, basketball and golf. His passions were golfing and traveling. Will was also a Golden Gloves boxing champ in the Welterweight class.
He is also survived by one son, David Fee and his wife, Sherry, of Barry; two daughters, Jo Lynn Fee of Mascoutah and Cynthia Fetherol of Lake City, Fla.; eight grandsons; one granddaughter; and four great-grandsons. Also surviving are one brother, Richard Fee of Plainfield; and one sister, Helen Hampsmire of Barry.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin Fee and Don Fee; and one sister, Marilene Schmidt.
SERVICES: 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Kirgan Funeral Home, Barry. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Barry.
VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
