Anna A. Decker, 86, of Golden Good Shepherd Home, formerly of Clayton, died Friday (Nov. 16, 2012) in the home in Golden.

Born Jan. 1, 1926, in Coats-burg, Anna was a daughter of Walter and Martha Corse. She married Donald L. Decker on Jan. 16, 1946, in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Clayton. He died Nov. 29, 2009.

Anna attended Possem Point and Excelsior grade schools. She attended Maplewood High School in Camp Point and later obtained her GED. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Coatsburg. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Clayton, where she was active with the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

Mrs. Decker was a homemaker and enjoyed milking cows, gardening, dogs, cats, ducks and chickens. She was a good cook and enjoyed sewing quilts.

Survivors include her son, David Decker, Clayton; a daughter, Phylis Stevens and her family, Macon, Mo.; three grandchildren, Alan Decker, who she raised, of Camp Point, and Abigail and Nicole Decker, Mount Sterling; great-grandchild, Mikayla Decker, Camp Point; a sister, Marian Shrader, Coatsburg; two sisters-in-law, Alberta Haschemeyer, Camp Point, and Lillian Decker, Clayton; two brothers-in-law, Robert Decker (Mildred), Mendon, and Glenn Decker (Mary), Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two daughters, Donna Joyce Decker and Janet Kay Morton; and a brother in infancy.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Clayton, with the Rev. Kirk Cunningham conducting. Burial will be in South Side Cemetery, Clayton.

VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the church.

MEMORIALS: Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or Golden Good Shepherd Home.
