Barbara J. Dunning Obituary
KAHOKA, Mo. -- Barbara J. Dunning, 58, of Kahoka, died unexpectedly Sunday (June 16, 2013) in the emergency room of Keokuk (Iowa) Area Hospital.

Barb was born Aug. 17, 1954, at West Point, Ill., the daughter of Estel and Edna Goodwin Morss.

She graduated from Clark County R-1 High School in the Class of 1972 and later on Nov. 23, 1972, married William Dunning Sr.

Barb was a Q.M.A. inspector for Norris Asphalt Paving. She and Bill had been owners of the Orbit Inn in earlier years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and working in her garden. She also loved anything to do with horses. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, William Dunning Sr. of the home; one son, William B. Dunning Jr. (Stephanie Huggins) of Bloomfield, Iowa; one daughter, Jean Saxton (Dwayne Price) of Kahoka; nine grandchildren, Ross and Ryan Saxton, Kristen, Brandon, Cheyann, Meagean, and Kaylynn Dunning, and Keagen and Jaden Campbell; one brother, Roy (Pam) Morss of rural Farmington, Iowa (Anson, Mo., area); two sisters, Ann (David) Dillard of Revere, and Eldonna Steffen of Quincy, Ill.; a brother-in-law, Mike Dunning of Hannibal; as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Joseph W. and Paula J. Dunning; a grandson, Tyler Saxton; and a brother-in-law, Kevin Dunning.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Thursday at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka, with Pastor Shawn McAfee officiating. Burial will follow in Kahoka Cemetery.

VISITATION: 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home with family present 5-7 p.m.

MEMORIALS: Clark County Senior Center.
