Bonnie K. Cutforth, 71, of Quincy, died at 1:27 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 19, 2013) in Blessing Hospital. Born July 12, 1941, in Adams County, Bonnie was a daughter of Grant J. and Betty Krallman Disselhorst. She married Robert "Bob" Cutforth on June 7, 1964, in Salem Church. Bonnie was a member of Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ and also attended Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. She was 1959 graduate of Quincy High School and received her associate degree from John Wood Community College in 1989. She sang in the Salem Church Choir and enjoyed gardening and doing crafts. She was a wonderful wife and mother who was devoted to her family and especially loved to attend all of her grandchildren's activities. Bonnie was first employed at Illinois Bell for 12 years and then at Knapheide Manufacturing for a short time. She then worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield for 13 years, retiring in 2002. Survivors include her husband Bob; one daughter, Barbara Cutforth (Ron Whittaker) of Quincy; two sons, Brenton Cutforth of Quincy and Bradley "B.J." Cutforth (Crystal) of Liberty; 10 grandchildren, Wade Carter, Dillon Cutforth, Caleb Neisen, Amanda Cutforth, Cole Cutforth, Kent Neisen, Kyle Cutforth, Conner Neisen, William Cutforth and Nicholas Cutforth; two great-grandchildren, Brennan Carter and Olivia Carter; eight sisters, Connie Mowen (Donald) of Quincy, Joyce Schmidt (Raymond) of Morton, Jane Newman of Fenwick, Mich., Vickie Steinkamp (Mick) of Quincy, Marsha Harpole (Gary) of Daytona Beach, Fla., Cindy Lohmeyer (Richard) of Ursa, Brenda Robinson (Clifford) of Morton, and Sherri Winters (Christopher) of Chatham; three brothers, Ronnie Disselhorst (Janet) of Kyle, Texas, Gary Disselhorst (Judy) of Cape Coral, Fla., and David Disselhorst (Dawn) of Granite City; one stepsister, Carman Albers (Bob) of Quincy; one sister-in-law, Elaine Leenerts Hyer (Roger) of Quincy; and an aunt, Ruth Disselhorst of Quincy. Also surviving are several loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Cutforth was preceded in death by her parents; a stepmother, Pearl Creech Disselhorst; two brothers, Richard Grant Disselhorst and Bobby Joe Disselhorst; and three brothers-in-law, Herb Leenerts, Jerry Newman and Ron Hurley. SERVICES: 10 a.m. Thursday in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home, with Pastor Sheri Renner conducting. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park. VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and until time of services Thursday morning in the funeral home. MEMORIALS: Bonnie Cutforth Memorial Fund.
