Clarence Allen O'Neal, 83, died Wednesday (Oct. 2, 2013). He was born May 15, 1930, in Warsaw, Mo. Clarence was married to Elsie for 38 years. Clarence loved the Navy and was a retired chief petty officer. He retired from Blessing Hospital as the Surgery Unit manager. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. In addition to his wife, Elsie, survivors include five children, Patricia Havermale of St. Louis, Elly Andrews, Melody Nichols and John Burton, all of Quincy, and Lisa Cassidy of Deltona, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was one of 13 children, six surviving, Ester Sedelmeir, Betty Harvey and Margaret Dixon of Quincy, Harriet Andrews of Beardstown, Charles O'Neal of Lewistown, Mo., and Philip O'Neal of Durham, Mo. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Thomas, of Quincy. SERVICES: A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Deland Memorial Park Cemetery, 600 E. Beresford Ave., Deland, Fla.
