PITTSFIELD, Ill. -- Connie M. Schott, 64, of Liberty Village in Pittsfield, died Sunday (Sept. 30, 2012) at Blessing Hospital in Quincy. Connie was born on Nov. 26, 1947, in Quincy, a daughter of Harold J. and Helen M. Martin Schott. Connie had been a resident of Liberty Village for three years where she was known as the "Bingo Queen." She always had a comforting word for other families at the nursing center. She had participated in Special Olympics for several years, and enjoyed eating out; shrimp was one of her favorites. She loved her teddy bears and stuffed animals. Connie is survived by her father, Harold Schott of Sunset Home in Quincy; one brother, Greg Schott of Canton, Mo.; and three sisters, Cheryl (David) Eversden of Fowler, Charolette (Rod) Homan of Quincy and Cindy (Michael) Platte of Macon, Mo. She was preceded in death by her mother. SERVICES: Interment of ashes will be held at a later date at the LaGrange (Mo.) Cemetery. MEMORIALS: Memorials are suggested to be made to the family.
