Cora Mae Brady, 92, formerly of 738 S. 14th St. and rural Adams County, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday (March 25, 2013) in Sunset Home. She was born July 9, 1920, in Walker, Minn., a daughter of Alfred and Pearl Mae Daniels Aronson. She married Ray Brady in 1970 in Quincy. He survives. Cora and her husband farmed in Adams County for many years. She enjoyed living in the country and helping her neighbors in the rural community. She loved nature and spending time at the Mississippi River. In her spare time, she enjoyed oil painting, photography, crocheting and canning. Cora was her own woman; she marched to the beat of her own drum. She loved to play music and was a self-taught guitarist, organist and pianist. She attended the Salvation Army. Cora's children loved her very much. In addition to her husband, survivors include three children, Lucy Hill of Tampa, Fla., Ann (Russell) Knutson of Cameron, Wis., and Carly (Patricia) Carlson of Osceola, Wis.; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Cora was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Audrey Wnek. SERVICES: 11 a.m. Saturday in the Quincy Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Rev. George Tomko conducting.
