Darrell G. Moore Obituary
Darrell G. Moore, 70, of Quincy, died Friday, July 6, 2018, at Blessing Hospital.

Darrell was born Oct. 26, 1947, in Quincy, a son of James H. and Rose (Kartwright) Moore.

He married Donetta S. Sunderland on April 1, 1972, at Parkview Christian Church, and she survives.

Darrell was a graduate of Quincy High School. He served in the U.S. Army and completed two tours of duty during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Darrell mostly enjoyed time together with his family, and he enjoyed many years of fishing.

In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, Timothy Moore of Springfield, Sandi (Eric) Wilson of Peoria and Shawn (Rainy) Moore of Hannibal, Mo.; two brothers, Gerry Moore of Quincy and Mike (Norma) Moore of Fowler; nine grandchildren, Christopher Logsdon, Taylor Downes, Michael and Mario Martino, Devin and Derek Moore, Cassie Logsdon, and Gracie and Lennox Moore; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Tracy Logsdon; brothers, Jim and Melvin Moore; a sister, Shirley Moore; and a nephew, Howard Moore.

SERVICES: 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Duker and Haugh Funeral Home and a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. Chris Comerford conducting. Burial with military honors will be in Sunset Cemetery at the Illinois Veterans Home.

VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 9, at the funeral home.
