CARTHAGE, Ill. -- Dave Sanderson, 55, of Carthage, died at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 8, 2013) in the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. Dave was born June 8, 1958, in Carthage, a son of James Wilson and Helen Pauline Phillips Sanderson. He attended Carthage High School, graduating in 1976 and went on to receive his associate's degree from Southeastern Community College. On Oct. 22, 1983, he married Donna Kluemke in Ferris. Dave was a machinist for Methode Electronics until 2009. He was also a taxidermist. Dave enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his grandsons. Dave is survived by his wife, Donna, of Carthage; two sons, Travis (Cara) Sanderson of Carthage and Zach Sanderson of Bloomington, Ind.; three grandsons, Joshua, Carter and Evan Sanderson; six brothers and sisters, Ron Sanderson of Loraine, Tom (Hazel) Sanderson of Warsaw, Carol (Larry) Lemley of Carthage, Linda Finton of Carthage, Mark Sanderson of Carthage and Fred (Elaine) Shoemaker of Texas; mother-in-law, Bertha Kluemke; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Steve (Tina) Kluemke, David (Robin) Kluemke, Nancy (Brad) Hoffman, Lynn (Leroy) Lammers, Mike (Tammy) Kluemke, and Carl (Shannon) Kluemke, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dave was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lloyd Ray Sanderson; and his father-in-law. SERVICES: 10 a.m. Saturday in the Printy Funeral Home in Carthage with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Carthage. VISITATION: 3 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
