David Duane Strosaker, 70, of 4912 Lakeview Drive Quincy, died at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday (Jan. 22, 2013), at 5:50 p.m. in Blessing Hospital. David was born July 10, 1942 in Akron, Ohio, the son of Harry and Azile O. Walker Strosaker. He married Esther George on June 18, 1977. She survives. He was a 1961 graduate of Green High School in Akron. David worked for Firestone, where he was supervisor of Quality Control for 19 years. He was also employed by Titan Wheel for eight years. David owned Jolly's Donuts for four years. He also worked for Harris Broadcast for 14 years, until his retirement in 2009. In his spare time, David enjoyed wood working, stained glass, and flying. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family. David was a member of Vermont Street United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, survivors include, a son, Duane (Susan) Strosaker of Irvine, Calif.; two daughters, Candace (Jack) Hearne of Crossroads, Texas, and Melissa (Eugene) Rho of Oak Park; five grandchildren, Nicole Strosaker of Irvine, Callif., Justin (Ashley) Hearne of Flint, Texas, Jennifer (Jacob) Meier of Manhattan, Kan., Nathan Hearne of Crossroads and Madelyn Rho of Oak Park; a great-grandchild, Kynley Hearne of Flint; a sister, Rebecca Jolly (Jessie) Hodges of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Harry Joseph (Vikki) Strosaker of Canal Fulton, Ohio, and many nieces and nephews David was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Robert Jolly SERVICES: 10 a.m. Saturday at Vermont Street United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Scott Grulke conducting. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m..
