CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Dean H. Twaddle, 91, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Quincy, Ill., died Tuesday (April 30, 2013) at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Dean was born June 28, 1921, in Macomb, Ill., a son of Perry and Ethel Clark Twaddle. He married Marjorie Albertson on Jan. 23, 1943. Dean was the sales manager for Moorman Manufacturing in Quincy and in Ames. He then transferred to Honeggers Co. in Ames. In 1961, he moved to Marion and worked for Supersweet Feeds. Dean retired from Vigortone Feeds in 1988, where he was the district sales manager for 18 years. Dean dearly loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Indian Creek Country Club. Dean enjoyed playing golf, fishing, watching the Cubs, visiting with people and playing Joker with friends. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Marjorie; his five children, Michael (Mary) Twaddle of Forney, Texas, James (Connie) Twaddle of Owatonna, Minn., Mark (Adriane) Twaddle of Marshfield, Mo., Jeffrey (Sue) Twaddle of Joshua Tree, Calif., and Janet (Stuart) Carpenter of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; 28 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and five sisters. SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
