Donald L. Keller Obituary
Donald L. Keller, 85, of 1229 S. 16th, Quincy, died at 12:35 a.m. Thursday (April 24, 2014) in his home.

Donald was born Feb. 22, 1929, in Quincy, a son of George Keller and Mildred Elfers Maher. On April 17, 1951, he married Mary Bradney in Timewell. She survives.

Donald was a 1947 graduate of Quincy High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, from January 1951 until November 1952.

Donald was employed at Motorola for 22 years in the specifications office. After Motorola closed in Quincy, he worked for Broadcast Electronics and later retired from the Illinois Veterans Home.

He was a charter member of The Crossing and was very active in the church. He was a member of AMVETS.

Donald loved spending time with his family, and he especially enjoyed going on camping trips.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two children, Randall L. (Vicki) Keller and Katherine Williams, both of Quincy; three grandchildren, Joshua (Rachel) Williams, Jamie (Charles) Scholz and Eleanor Keller, all of Quincy; four great-grandchildren, Caleb Donald Williams, Joel Kendrick Williams, Nancy Lynn Scholz and Charlotte Ann Scholz, all of Quincy; a brother, Robert Earl Keller of Camp Point; and several nieces and nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Monday at The Crossing, 150 S. 48th, with the Rev. Jerry Harris conducting. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

VISITATION: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
