Ella Margaretta Boothe Obituary
Ella Margaretta Boothe, 86, of the Monroe Manor in Paris, formerly of the Harbor Town community in Ralls County, passed away Friday, Sept. 8, 2017, at the Monroe Manor.

She was born May 1, 1931, in Furth, Germany, a daughter of Michael and Anni Stocker Platzer. She married George E. Boothe on March 9, 1964, in Phenix City, Ala. He survives of the home.

Ella enjoyed working in the yard with her roses and flowers. She was raised in Germany of the Protestant faith. She and her husband, George, made their home in the Harbor Town community near Monroe City.

She is also survived by one stepson, Phillip Boothe (Diana) of Bismarck, Ark.; stepgrandchildren, Ryan Boothe (Sandra) of Little Rock, Ark., Cody Boothe (Erica) of Bismarck, John Boothe of Bismarck, Diana Jane McSwain (Taylor) of Bismarck, and Phillip Achor of Hensley, Ark. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and all the special people at the Monroe Manor in Paris.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters.

SERVICES: 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, at Garner Funeral Chapel, Monroe City, with the Rev. Steve Goughnour conducting. There will be a graveside burial service at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Boothe, Bill Franklin, Jim Anderson, Ed Berry, Shari Embree, Lisa Williams and all the staff and administration of the Monroe Manor.

VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Garner Funeral Home, Monroe City.

MEMORIALS: Monroe Manor in Paris.
