QUINCY -- Erika Wlodarzyk, 95, of Quincy, died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018, at Good Samaritan Home.

Born Oct. 16, 1922, in Ratingen Eckamp, Germany, Erika was a daughter of Albert and Frieda Titel Heuer. She married Josef Wlodarzyk on March 20, 1940, in Waldenberg, Germany. He preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 1992.

Erika finished school at age 14 and began working as a nanny and later working in a restaurant in Waldenberg where she met her future husband, Josef. After 22 years of marriage, they immigrated to the United States on July 1, 1962.

Survivors include her daughter, Anita Hibel of Quincy; three grandchildren, Mary-Ann Ervin (Eric) of Quincy, Nancy Brown (Jeff) of Quincy and Nicole Warren (Jason) of O'Fallon; seven great-grandchildren, Brendan Ervin (Kayla) of Edwardsville, Maddison Ervin of Edwardsville, Alex Brown (Carra), Paige Brown, McKenzie Brown and Colton Brown, all of Quincy; two great-great-grandchildren, Leah Brown and Harper Brown of Quincy; and a brother, Ernst Heuer of Lintorf, Germany.

Erika was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gunter Heur; a sister, Klara Lickfeld; and a son-in-law, Volkmar "Albert" Hibel.

SERVICES: 11:15 a.m. graveside Wednesday, Aug. 8, in Greenmount Cemetery with Pastor Steve Disseler conducting.

VISITATION: 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

MEMORIALS: Good Samaritan Home.
