AUGUSTA, Ill. -- Eva L. Winters, 75, of Augusta, died at 7:53 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 21, 2014) in Wesley Village in Macomb. She was born on June 23, 1938, in Chili Township, Hancock County, to Lammert and Eva Johanna Kauffman Redenius. She married Dale E. Winters on June 24, 1953 in Keokuk, Iowa. He survives. Eva, along with her husband, Dale, had operated the Kiefer's Grocery Store in Augusta for several years. In the past few years she was the manager of the Suzy Q's convenience store in Augusta. Eva attended Augusta High School and was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Augusta. She is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Mark) Sweeney of Macomb; four sons, Steve (Donna) Winters of Augusta, and their children, Jenna, Jason and Jaci; Kevin (Rita) Winters of Bowen, and their children, Kayla and Cierra; Herb (Barb) Winters of Central City, Ky. and their children, Kyle, Kelsey and Karisa; Mark (Tammy) Winters of Augusta and their family, Levi, Cody, Austin, Brayden and Brock; two great-grandchildren, Kendra and Carter Lilly; two sisters, Marie Bell of Quincy and Darlene Bell of Coral Springs, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Jake, Frank, Irvin and Rayburn Redenius; and three sisters, Mildred Bell, Erma Kerker and Vera Jump. SERVICES: 3 p.m. Friday in the Faith Lutheran Church in Augusta, with the Deacon Mike Ellerman conducting. Burial will follow in Golden Memorial Gardens in Golden.
