Jeanette K. Phillips, 64, of 612 S. 23rd, died at 12:36 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 26, 2013) in Blessing Hospital. Jeanette was born Nov. 11, 1948, in Quincy, a daughter of LeRoy and Elva Lepper Meyer. She married Kenneth Phillips on Feb. 24, 1973, in St. James Lutheran Church. He survives. Jeanette was a 1966 graduate of Quincy High School. She was employed as a secretary by E.L. Smith and Sons for 18 years. She and Kenneth were owners of the Broadway Antique Mall, where Jeanette enjoyed interacting with her customers and employees. Jeanette loved animals, especially her dogs. Jeanette was a very kind and caring woman who greatly enjoyed her family and friends. In her early life, she enjoyed spending time in the garden with her father. She especially enjoyed family get-togethers and spending time with her grandchildren. She was an extremely devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two children, Troy R. (Lori) Phillips of Philo and Amanda K. Phillips of Quincy; three grandchildren, Emily Phillips of Philo and Brayden LeRoy and Brodie Paul Jones of Quincy; her aunt, Arlene Reinberg of Quincy; two cousins, David E. (Sharon) Reinberg and Lynda (Harold) Hinkamper, all of Quincy; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents. SERVICES: 10 a.m. Monday in St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church with Marlin Rempfer conducting. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
