So sorry to hear about Jerry. He was a very kind person and we shared many "hi cuz" greetings in the halls at MHS. So encouraging to hear about his faith and the faith of your family. I will be praying for peace and strength for you in the upcoming difficult weeks.

This is Jerry's sister, Ellen, some of you I may know I don't know, I met so many wonderful people at the visitation who all loved Jerry like we did! Thank you very much for your thoughts and prayers, they are very much needed at this time! I didn't know how many lives he really touched but then again I'm not surprised! He loved little kids and the elderly like his other brother & I do, we all like so much of the same thing! I have to give credit to my mom and dad for instilling us with the faith of God and for caring for others! I love my family so much, his family and my family here in MO. Mom and dad are to be given the credit for how they raised us, for that I'm so thankful! How can a man who is so kind hearted, so loving and caring be taken away from us at such an early age! We had plans all the way through Christmas, which Jerry was such a kid himself at this time of year, he was just taken away from us at too early an age! God knows who to call so all I can say is God has plans for him up in Heaven far more important then our plans here on earth! I rest easy knowing that he is with God, our whole family has a very strong faith in God and I know he has much better plans for Jerry up there! Who knows he may be playing Santa in his workshop, working with all the wood he loved so much! I'm sure he really is not doing that but I can still think that he is! I know he is glorifying God in such a very good way! He was never afraid of dying, I'm not either as my younger brother, we know we will meet up with Jerry whenever God calls us! We know our days are numbered and this really brouoght it into focus for all of us I think! Thank you all for your feelings expressed, they are very much appreciated! I think we have some weeks before we all come to grips with this but at least we are on the right path! God wants us to be joyous and thankful and in some ways we are but then I'm sure we all have our questions, I know I do! He was so peaceful looking and I know he is in so much of a better place, Heaven is the cream of the crop, such a glorious place to be! He's happy now, that makes me happy too, I may still cry for the loss of him but that is me being selfish, can't help it, I'm his sister, I loved him so much and looked up to him so much and I will miss talking to him, asking his advice, etc. No one replaces your brother and no one ever will, I will still see him as a small child, an adolescent, teenager, college, and the man he grew to be and I'm proud to say he was my brother! Above all he loved his family so much, all of us, for that I'm very thakful for! Thank you so much, he would love to hear all that was said about him, he probably already knows! Thank you again, with love, Ellen Newbrough

I'm so sorry that Ed and I couldn't make it to offer our sympathy in person, but you are very much in our prayers. Jerry was such a blessing to those who knew him. God knew what He was doing when he chose Jerry at this time, unfortunately we don't. But may you all feel God's presence in the coming days and weeks, and know that you are not alone. Grandpa Henry always spoke highly of Jerry. As they were both alike in many ways, jolly, keeping things merry as they intently listened and offered an open ear to hear. He will truly be missed. May your cherished memories give you comfort at this time of loss. We pray in the Name of Jesus, peace and comfort in this time of need.
