John Lillis Lock, 69, of Quincy, formerly of Hannibal, Mo., died at 6:56 a.m. Thursday (May 23, 2013) in his home. Mr. Lock was born June 13, 1943, in Hannibal to Charles H. and Eva E. Biggs Lock. He was married to Diane Roberson on Sept. 16, 1964, in Hannibal. She survives. Mr. Lock was a U.S. Navy veteran. He retired as manager for Quincy Freightliner. Mr. Lock was an outdoorsman. He loved morel mushrooms and enjoyed mowing grass in the country and traveling. He liked watching western movies and Fox News and was known for his charitable contributions to the Mark Twain Casino. John was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Antique Truck Society and the Freightliner's Antique Truck Club. Other survivors include three children, Leslie D. Theurer (Jeff), Steven D. Lock (Angel) and James M. Lock (Penny); his mother-in- law, Lorna M. Roberson; a brother-in-law, Howard Roberson (Jill); a sister, Connie S. King; 24 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and special family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, John L. Lock Jr.; one great-granddaughter, Abbigaelle Theurer; and his father-in-law, Ralph H. Roberson. SERVICES: A celebration of John's life reception will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Fiddlestiks Restaurant, 8945 U.S. 36, Hannibal. VISITATION: There is no formal visitation. MEMORIALS:
