Mrs. Kitty V. Taylor, 84, of Sunset Home, formerly of Columbus, Ill., died at 12:45 p.m. Sunday (March 31, 2013) in Sunset Home. Born Dec. 22, 1928 in Higbee, Mo., Kitty was the daughter of John and Mary Arney Rockenfield. She married Milton Hignite who preceded her in death. Kitty devoted her life to raising and caring for her family. She enjoyed going to flea markets throughout the area. Survivors include two sons, Milton Hignite (Grace Starks) of West Point, and Scott Taylor (Theresa) of Taylor, Mo.; two daughters, Patricia Pulis of Fort Madison, Iowa and Delores Wade of Columbus; seven grandchildren, Kristie Cobb of Quincy, Eric Pulis, Shawn Pulis and Michele Becker, all of Fort Madison, John Wade of Columbus, Clifford Wade (Rhonda) of Ewing, Mo., and Larry Wade Jr. (Rose) of Plymouth; nine great-grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews; and those who became a part of her family at The Haven at Sunset Home. Kitty was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Joy Lynn; a son in law, Larry Wade Sr.; and 12 brothers and sisters. SERVICES; Cremation rites have been accorded. Friends are invited to a celebration of life for Kitty at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 7 in the Sunset Home Chapel. MEMORIALS: The Haven at Sunset Home.
