LaVerne Peters Brinker, 82, of Indianapolis, Ind., formerly of Quincy, died Jan. 28, 2013, in her home. She was born Sept. 22, 1930, in Quincy, a daughter of Julius Frank and Virginia Baum Peters. She married Francis Rudolph Brinker in St. Rose Catholic Church in Quincy on Sept. 16, 1950. He died Dec. 21, 2011. LaVerne graduated in 1948 from Quincy Notre Dame Academy. Mrs. Brinker was an accomplished artist. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church in Indianapolis. Surviving are her sisters, Vivian (Jack) Hogge, Virginia Hunter and Julia Huntley and two brothers, Glenn Peters and Karl (Jackie) Peters, all of Quincy; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and one uncle, Ed (Linda) Peters of Quincy. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years; a sister, Gertrude "Trudy" Sparrow; and a brother, Julius F. "Jay" Peters. SERVICES: Were held Friday, Feb. 1, in the G.H. Herrmann Funeral Home in Indianapolis followed by a Mass at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 8300 Rahke Road, Indianapolis. Entombment was in Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis. ARRANGEMENTS: G.H.
