AUGUSTA, Ill. â€" Marilyn L. Lantz, 88, of Augusta, died at 2:11 p.m. Wednesday (July 17, 2013) in Blessing Hospital in Quincy. Born Dec. 27, 1924 in Quincy, Marilyn was the daughter of L. Wayne and Mabel Catlin Robison. She married Lyle B. "Mick" Lantz on May 15, 1955, in Rushville. He died on June 11, 1982. Marilyn was a graduate of Augusta High School and attended Lindenwood College in St. Louis. She was a charter and lifetime member of the Tri-County Country Club and a former member of the Chapter AQ PEO and VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed puzzles and was an avid follower of the grandchildren's sporting events. She attended the Bowen Christian Church. She was employed for many years as a secretary at Dennis Chicken Products in Augusta. Surviving are her son Gary "Ace" Lantz and his, wife Vicky, of Augusta; five grandchildren, Wyatt Lantz and his wife, Tecia, of Augusta, Wendy Hamilton and her husband, Ben, of Camp Point, Alex Denny of Augusta, and Abbey Lantz and Alivia Lantz of Augusta; five great-grandchildren, Delaney Lantz, Madelyn Hamilton, Brilyn Lantz, Grant Hamilton, and Kash Lantz; a sister-in-law, Diana Robison; a nephew, and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Hal Robison. SERVICES: 4 p.m. Saturday in the Bowen Christian Church by the Rev. Tom Mehaffy. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services. VISITATION: Saturday from 2 p.m. until time of the services in the Bowen Christian Church. MEMORIALS: Tri-County Country Club.
