PITTSFIELD, Ill. -- Mary Dell Borrowman, 83, of Pittsfield, died Monday (Aug. 26, 2013) in Blessing Hospital, Quincy. She was born July 4, 1930, in Louisiana, Mo., a daughter of Homer and Ruth Gunlock Adams. Mary Dell was a 1948 graduate of Pittsfield High School and a member of New Canton United Methodist Church, and Pike County Home Extension. She volunteered her time promoting fundraising efforts for the
. She loved to cook and host family dinners and enjoyed playing in bridge clubs throughout Pike County and the surrounding area. She is survived by five sons, George Dale (Linda) Borrowman, Gary D. Borrowman and Randall Borrowman, all of Rockport, Brady (Wanda) Borrowman of New Canton, and Kevin (Shari) Borrowman of Rockport; one daughter, Lisa (Joel) Bugner of Carbondale, Colo.; 14 grandchildren, Laura Borrowman, Stacy Cash, Leah Borrowman, Megan Strohm, Traci Borrowman, Malisha Crowder, Eric, David, Brian, Aaron, Grant and Evan Borrowman, Adam and Jacob Bugner; 10 great-grandchildren, Delaney, Kailyn, Taylor, Clayson, Whitney, Chandler, Kalista, Gavin, Benjamin and Jackson; and special caregiver, Amber Apps. She was preceded in death by her parents. SERVICES: A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Adams-Dustin Cemetery, Atlas.
