Patricia L. Novak, 69, of 809 Adams, died at 5:16 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 29, 2012) in Blessing Hospital. She was born March 24, 1943, in Quincy, the daughter of Richard and Hazel Lamma Flesner. She married Jim Shoop Sr. in 1975. Most of her life was spent working in factories. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who did what she needed to do to provide for her family. An animal lover, Patricia enjoyed leisurely drives and going "creeking" in her spare time. She had a great sense of humor and a great heart, and lived to help others. Survivors include six children, Cindy (Donnie) McGraw of Quincy, Chellie Shoop of Quincy, Kimberly Smiley of Quincy, Jim Shoop of Quincy, Ryan (Jamie) Shoop of Mendon, and Cory Shoop of Quincy; 19 grandchildren, Taylor, Dylan, Jackson, Breanne, Brooklyn, Jordan, Brandon, Lindsey, Danielle, Trent, Sara, Destiny, Blaine, Darrien, Madalynn, Mathew, Cody, Skylar and Chelsea; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rosie Law and Evelyn Hollander, both of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dwayne and Mick; and a grandson, Bon McGraw. SERVICES: Private services will be held in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with the Rev.
