HANNIBAL, Mo. -- Paul P. Sula, 71, of Hannibal, died at 3:30 a.m. Jan. 6, 2013, in his home. Paul was born May 2, 1941, in Evergreen Park, Ill., a son of Paul and Elsie Lipovsky Sula. He married Janice Pilcher on Aug. 25, 1962, in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hannibal. She survives. He began his career working as a wage and hour investigator for the Department of Labor. He also worked at Western Printing, Motorola in Quincy, Ill., and for 25 years at BASF as a board operator. Paul was a founding member of the YMCA's Indian Y Guides and coached floor hockey and soccer for the YMCA. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include two sons, Mark D. (Teresa) Sula of Wichita, Kan., and Christopher P. (Sandy) Sula of Summit, N.J.; a daughter, Deborah A. Sula of Parkville; a sister, Carol A. (Ray) Lessner of Walnut Creek, Calif.; six grandchildren, Andrew D. (Tess) Sula of the U.S. Army, Justin B. (Jess) Sula, Christopher S. Crawford, Nicholas J. Crawford, Jack C. Sula and Ryan S. Sula; and two great-grandchildren, Brody Sula and Vanna Sula. SERVICES: 10 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Catholic Church, Hannibal, with the Rev. Reid conducting. Burial will follow in Grand View Burial Park, Hannibal. Pallbearers will be the grandchildren. VISITATION: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Grand View Funeral Home, Hannibal. MEMORIALS: James E.
