Phyllis E. Hagerbaumer, 89, formerly of 1811-N S. 24th St., Quincy, died at 7 a.m. Sunday (March 24, 2013) in THE Good Samaritan Home. Phyllis was born Nov. 27, 1923, in Quincy, a daughter of Walter W. and Sophia E. Luthin Weiss. She married Roger G. Hagerbaumer on July 30, 1943, in Trinity United Church of Christ. He died June 14, 2001. Mrs. Hagerbaumer was a 1941 graduate of Quincy High School. She worked at the Illinois Bell Telephone Co. and the Gardner Denver Co. Mrs. Hagerbaumer was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. She was a former member of Zeta Nu Sorority, Women's City Club and Spring Lake Country Club. Mrs. Hagerbaumer enjoyed bowling and playing bridge. Survivors include a daughter, Debra Ann (Leonard) Kruizenga of Palos Park, and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, June Estes, Mary Brackley and Ruth Ann Dinkheller Wyman. SERVICES: 11 a.m. Thursday in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Timothy White conducting. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy.
