Ronald W. Oenning, 68, died June 11, 2013, in his daughter Kathy's home in Mobile, Ala., after a long illness. He was born May 4, 1945, a son of Wilbur and Vera Gerdes Oenning and lived in Adams County most of his life. He married Sharon Balzer in 1964 in Clayton. She survives. Prior to moving to Alabama in 1992, Ronald farmed near LaGrange, Mo., and worked at Western Ready Mix Concrete in Quincy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, Sheryl Lynn Anderson of Mobile, Michael Ronald Oenning of Quincy and Katherine Marie Oenning of Mobile; five grandchildren, Caitlan, Sophia and Becker of Mobile and Aden and Alivea of Quincy; three brothers and a sister, Bobby (Cassie) Oenning of Ursa, Gene (Connie) Oenning of Ursa, Carol Walton of LaGrange and James (Barb) Oenning of Quincy; and numerous nieces and nephews. SERVICES: Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
