Mrs. Rosalie Billings, 87, of Quincy died at 1:25 p.m. Sunday (July 14, 2013) in the Haven at Sunset Home. Born Sept. 29, 1925, in Adams County, Rosalie was the daughter of Jess and Ann Leake Hudson. She married George F. Billings Sr. on April 25, 1945, in Quincy. He died on Jan. 28, 2006. Rosalie enjoyed bowling and fishing. She played on a Missouri state traveling champion softball team in 1943. She was a wonderful wife and devoted homemaker to her children and grandchildren. After she raised her family she worked ar the Vermont Street Day Care for eight years until her retirement. Survivors include two sons, George Billings Jr. (Jean) of Payson and Tom Billings of Quincy; two grandchildren, Brock Billings (Edie) of Hannibal, Mo., and Angie Davidson (Scott) of Philadelphia, Mo.; three great-grandchildren, Weston and Easton Billings and Jaxon Lay. Mrs Billings was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jess Hudson and one in infancy; four sisters, Edna Hudson, Mary Hudson, Louise Marsh and Clara Doran. SERVICES: 10 a.m. Tuesday graveside services will be in Greenmount Cemetery with Clif Weisinger conducting. VISITATION: There is no visitation but friends are invited to attend the graveside service.
