NEW LONDON, Mo. -- Ruby Priscilla Long, 66, of New London, died at 9:39 p.m. Monday (Dec. 2, 2013) in her home. Mrs. Long was born Dec. 14, 1946, in Hannibal to Nicholas H. and Ruby Marie Swan Booth. She was married to Robert J. Long on Nov. 20, 1971, in Hannibal. He survives. Mrs. Long previously worked as a medical technologist at Hannibal Regional Hospital and later at the Hannibal Clinic. She was a graduate of Hannibal High School, Class of 1964. Mrs. Long also attended Hannibal-LaGrange College and the University of Colorado, where she received her master's degree. She was a very active member of the First Assembly of God Church, where she was the church organist and was part of the Praise and Worship Team. In addition to her husband, other survivors include one brother, Nicholas H. Booth Jr. of Florida; one nephew, Kenneth S. Booth (Dorothy) of Houston, Texas; and one niece, Suzan Mack (John) of New London. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Kenneth Swan Booth Sr. SERVICES: 10 a.m. Friday in the First Assembly of God Church in Hannibal. The Rev. Allen Clark will conduct. Burial will be in Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal. Pallbearers will be Richard "Dick" Reed, Charles "Chuck" Booher, Wendall Glance, Les Stone, Gerald Pharis and Lee Vedenhaupt. Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Long's fellow workers at the Hannibal Clinic Lab. VISITATION: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
