Sharon Lynne Parchim, 63, of 1307 S. 16th, died at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday (Jan. 9, 2013) in Blessing Hospital. Born July 31, 1949, in Quincy, Sharon was a daughter of Edward H. and Doris Littleton Starman. She married Allan L. "Al" Parchim Sr. on June 25, 1969, in Columbia, Mo. He died Nov. 30, 1987. Sharon was devoted to her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She loved animals, caring for many stray cats and her own cat, Snoopy. Sharon was currently employed as a caregiver for Community Care. She had previously worked at Concord Custom Cleaners for more than 10 years. Survivors include a son, Allan L. Parchim Jr. of Quincy; a daughter, Tara Clary (Thomas) of LeClaire, Iowa; a granddaughter, Brittany Clary of LeClaire; a brother, Gale Starman (Louise) of Leawood, Kan.; and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Al. SERVICES: 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with the Rev. George Tomko conducting. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park. VISITATION: 10 a.m. until time of services Tuesday in the funeral home. MEMORIALS: Blessing Foundation for Hospice or Blessing Cancer Center.
