Shelby A. Boyd Obituary
Shelby Allen Boyd, 24, of Quincy, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Tuesday (March 12, 2013).

Born Dec. 14, 1988, in Quincy, Shelby was a son of Brent and Marcella Bigley and Todd Boyd.

Shelby was a 2007 graduate of Quincy High School. He enjoyed fishing, drawing and making pencil drawings. He loved working with modern technology. He liked to fix computers and work with computer graphic art, designing websites and video games. He also enjoyed being a handyman and fixing things around his house. Shelby loved being with his family and friends and making people laugh. He held a special place in his heart for his cat "Roxie."

Survivors include his mother, Marcella Bigley and her husband, Brent of Camp Point; his father, Todd Boyd of Quincy; six sisters, three of whom he was raised with, Shay Boyd, Katie Bigley and Kristi Bigley, all of Camp Point, and the three other sisters, Sherlain Boyd of Canton, Mo., and Regina Boyd and Olivia Boyd, both of Quincy; three brothers, Ashton Boyd, Oliver Boyd and Scottie Boyd, all of Quincy; maternal grandparents, Janet Ambrose of Quincy, Michael Johnson of California, Helen DeMoss and her husband, Eddie, of Clayton and Bill Calaway of Mount Sterling; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Shelby was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Ed and Doris Ambrose and Blaine and Irene Johnson; paternal grandparents, Sherlain Neece and Barney Allen Boyd; and paternal great-grandparents, Gilbert and Eva Neece.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Dennis conducting. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery, near Plymouth.

VISITATION: 3 to 5 p.m. today and Monday morning until the time of services in the funeral home.

MEMORIALS: Shelby Boyd Memorial Fund.
