Sherrill "Bill" Schuckman, 85, of 2817 Joyce Road, died Thursday (Feb. 7, 2013) in Sunset Home. He was born June 30, 1927, in Quincy, a son of Sherrill and Mary Sparrow Schuckman. Bill married Pearl Irwin on Dec. 24, 1950, in Plainville. Bill was a Navy veteran of World War II. He worked for numerous years for Moorman Manufacturing until his retirement. After his retirement, he worked for Bayview Building Supply and Farm and Home Supply. Throughout all of his working years, he also would work on heaters for friends in his garage. Bill was a long-time member of Unity Church of Quincy. He liked camping, boating and fishing. In addition to his wife, Bill is also survived by one child, Lora Lynn Holt and her husband, Dale, of Quincy; two grandchildren, Dominic Heberlein and Dalehnie Holt; two brothers, Jerry Schuckman and his wife, Kathy, and Louie Schuckman and his wife, Sally; and one sister, JoAnn Platt. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Richard "Dick" Schuckman, Charles Schuckman and Bob Schuckman; and one sister, Mary Martin.
