William Brent Lawson of Quincy, formerly of Park Hills, Mo., died Friday (Feb. 21, 2014) in Quincy at the age of 48 years. He was born June 25, 1965, in Bonne Terre, Mo., a son of Bill and Sherry Harbison Lawson. Brent was a 1985 graduate of West County High School and received his degree in electrical engineering from DeVry Technical School in Kansas City, Mo. He currently was working for a large electrical utility company in Quincy. He loved to hunt and fish with his brother, Shawn, and spend time with his family. Surviving are his parents, Bill and Sherry Lawson, of Park Hills; one brother, Shawn Lawson and his wife, Tamara, of Pilot Knob, Mo.; his loving companion and friend, Marry Austin, of Quincy; two nephews, Seth and Sawyer Lawson; a niece, Savannah Lawson; four chosen children, Jodie, Jami, Jeremy and Jason; several grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. SERVICES: 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Cole Family Funeral Home, Ironton, Mo., with the Rev. Don Akers conducting. Interment will be in Arcadia Valley Memorial Park.
