Yetive was born April 12, 1910, in Quincy, a daughter of James Garfield and Susan "Susie" Benjamin Mosby. She married Virgil Bolden on Aug. 5, 1933, in Quincy. He died Oct. 8, 1963. Yetive was a 1929 graduate of Quincy High School. She worked in the dietary department of the Illinois Veterans Home for 25 years. She was a member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 905 Oak, and she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Bolden also attended Metropolitan United Methodist Church in Severn, Md. She loved playing bingo and spending time with her family and loved ones while living in Maryland with her son and devoted daughter-in-law, Hazel. She will be greatly missed by all, especially her daughter-in-law, family and children, and those she considered to be her children and grandchildren, as she would say with her famous two words, "That's right."
