DURHAM, Mo. -- Louise C. Kraft, 80, of Durham, died Tuesday (March 11, 2014) in Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.

She was born Aug. 7, 1933, in Quincy, a daughter of Frank and Charlotte Sohn Neuman. She married John W. "Bill" Kraft on May 12, 1956, in Quincy. He died April 11, 2000.

Louise was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ewing. She farmed with her husband, was a homemaker, and enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, cooking, gardening and being with her family.

Survivors include two sons, John "Johnnie" Kraft and his wife, Tracy Kraft, and Ronald "Ronnie" Kraft and his wife, Lori, all of Durham; one daughter, Betty Abell and her husband, Bill, of Durham; one sister, Leona "Sis" Williams of Davenport, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Carlene Neuman of Quincy and Elvera Feld of Winfield; grandchildren, Billy (Tina) Abell of Durham, Brent (Chrissy) Abell of Durham, Dustin (Crystal) Roberson of Lee's Summit, Ashley (Scott) Phillips of Durham, Larraleigh (Ryan) Hetzler of Lewistown, Lesleighan Kraft of Columbia, John Kraft III of Durham and Nicole Kraft of Quincy; eight great-grandchildren, Zachary, Miranda, Marissa and Adelynn Abell, Taylor Owen, Laila and Lillia Roberson, and Memphis Phillips; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Frank, Kenneth and Bob Newman; and one sister, Joan Wilson.

SERVICES: A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Ewing, with the Rev. Basil Eruo conducting. Burial will be in Queen of Peace Cemetery.

VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. in the Ball-Davis Funeral Home, Ewing.

MEMORIALS: Queen of Peace Cemetery or Blessing Hospital radiation department, in care of Ball-Davis Funeral Home, Ewing.
