Austin Michael Hermann, 21, of Quincy, died at 5:57 a.m. Sunday (March 23, 2014) at 3333 S. 24th St., Quincy. Austin was born Dec. 9, 1992, in Quincy, a son of John and Christine Brown Hermann. Austin was a 2010 graduate of Quincy High School. He worked at Titan Wheel as an assemblyman and had recently started classes at John Wood Community College. He was of the Catholic faith. Austin loved to read. He also loved animals and writing comic strips. He taught himself to play the guitar, he was skilled at computers and he liked spending time outdoors and with his friends. Austin had a big heart and was a friend to everyone. He is survived by his parents, John Hermann and Chris (Jerry Hanlin) Hermann, all of Quincy; his brother, Scott Hermann of Quincy; stepsisters, Ashley Knight and Calley Hanlin; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Rose Ann Brown, all of Quincy; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Claudine Hermann. SERVICES: 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
