Joshua Charles Werner, 31, of 3907 Halfpap Lane, Quincy, died at 5:33 p.m. Sunday (May 4, 2014) in Blessing Hospital. He was born on Feb. 23, 1983, in Moberly, Mo., a son of Donald "Chuck" and Debra L. Triplett Werner. He was a member of River of Life Church. He was "blessed and proud to say so"! Joshua looked forward to attending church services, worshipping, singing and quoting his favorite scripture from Joshua 6:20. Joshua was a real social butterfly. When he was out and about he greeted people enthusiastically, introducing himself and saying something nice to everyone he met. Joshua was a happy, good-natured young man. He treasured his mom's artwork, and he saved her doodles in a scrapbook that he adored. Joshua loved writing, playing Wii and watching movies, and with his terrific memory, he memorized his favorites. He is survived by his parents, Chuck and Debra Werner of Quincy; a brother, Jared Werner and his wife, Megan, of Fort Campbell, Ky. Multiple aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. SERVICES: 10 a.m. Thursday in the River of Life Church by the Rev. Gary Wallace. Interment will be in Quincy Memorial Park. VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. MEMORIALS: The Gift of Hope. ARRANGEMENTS: Duker and Haugh Funeral Home. WEBSITE: www.dukerandhaugh.com.
