Marianna June Moylan Obituary
Marianna June Moylan, 93, of 9503 Hwy. 100 West, New Haven, Mo., and formerly of 418 N. 28th St., Quincy, died at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday (May 13, 2014) in New Haven Care Center.

Marianna was born June 9, 1920, in Deaver, Wyo., the daughter of Samuel Jonas and Ella Virginia Eckles Tipton. She married Charles Edward Moylan on Nov. 27, 1943, in Fort Ord, Calif. He died Feb. 1, 2008.

Marianna was a 1937 graduate of LaPrairie (Ill.) High School, and she graduated from Gem City Business College. While she was a homemaker, Marianna also worked as a secretary in various offices including International Harvester, Illinois State Unemployment Office, Illinois Feed Supply, the Barge Company, and Barbara Jane Sportswear in Los Angeles. She retired from Investors Diversified Services after having worked there for 25 years. She was a charter member of the National Secretaries Association.

Marianna had been a member of Vermont Street United Methodist Church, where she served as the secretary for the Kum Dubl Sunday School class and as co-chair of Bible school. Marianna also sang in the choir, and she was the choir mother for the Little Singers.

Survivors include her son, Robert Charles (Deanna Lee) Moylan of St. Charles, Mo.; her grandson, Ryan (Angie) Moylan of Davenport, Iowa; and her granddaughter, Anna Moylan of St. Charles.

In addition to her husband, Marianna was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Thomas W. Tipton.

SERVICES: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17, in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with the Rev. Henry Pratt officiating. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park, Quincy.

VISITATION: 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17, in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.
