Willard "Ty" Snyder, 71, of Quincy, died at 1:14 p.m. Friday (May 16, 2014) in Blessing Hospital. He was born June 4, 1942, in Monticello, Mo., a son of Dallas and Della Meado Snyder. He married Sandy Reinhart on Jan. 7, 1967, in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Quincy. She died Nov. 10, 2008. Ty served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked at Titan Wheel and was the owner of the Roost and Ty's Tap. He was a member of the Catholic faith. Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Snyder, of Quincy; a granddaughter, Sydni Snyder, of Quincy; a brother, Leroy Snyder, of Quincy; a sister, Phyllis Bush, of Hannibal, Mo.; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and his best friend, Britches Snyder. In addition to his wife, Ty was preceded in death by two sisters, Wanda Nooe and Desta Snyder; and six brothers, Donald, Wally, Wilbur, Gary, Delbert and Charles Snyder. SERVICES: 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Ehresman conducting. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 37.
