CAMP POINT, Ill. -- Rocky L. Boling, 58, of Camp Point, died at 5:30 p.m. Friday (June 20, 2014) in his home.

Born April 13, 1956, in Quincy, Rocky was a son of Floyd and Mabel Ruth Tournear Boling. He married Connie A. Zanger on Sept. 22, 1978, in St. Joseph's Church in rural Fowler. She survives.

Rocky owned and operated Boling Excavation Service for 40 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved spending time on his farm and was always known as a hard worker.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sisters, Candy Wright and her husband, Ronnie, of Clayton and Peggy Neisen and her husband, James, of Fowler; one brother, David Hogan and his wife, Joann, of Clayton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Lois Hessling; a brother, Delbert Hogan; and two nephews, Kevin Wright and Bradley Tenhouse.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, in the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Camp Point.

VISITATION: 4-8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

MEMORIALS: Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
