PLAINVILLE, Ill. -- Deborah L. Aman, 59, of Plainville, died at 11:05 a.m. Monday (July 14, 2014) in her home.

Deborah was born July 29, 1954, in Quincy, the daughter of Carson Totsch and Carroll Van Velkinburgh. On Aug. 24, 1973, she married Donald V. Aman in her grandmother's house in Quincy. He survives.

Deborah was a 1972 graduate of Quincy High School. She had been a bus driver for the Quincy Public Schools for 21 years. She greatly enjoyed her job and driving, as she put it, "her children to school and watching them grow."

Deborah loved life, the outdoors, cooking, crocheting, reading, writing, taking photographs and above all her devoted husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Deborah will be missed by her surviving family members; her beloved husband of 40 years, Donald V. Aman Sr.; her children, Donald (Rachel) Aman Jr., Nick Aman,] and Danielle (Bobbie) Franks; her grandchildren, Tasha (TJ) Rinnus, Niki Baker, Tanner Crisp, Bryton Franks, Bella Holman, Quinten Aman and Aubrey Franks; her great-grandchildren, Lucas Bodi, Bianca Baker and Teegan Rinnus; and a niece, Tana (Dave) Totsch-Kimsey and their daughters.

Deborah was preceded in death by her mother, Carroll Van Velkinburgh in 2011, and her sister, Kelley Norwood in 2009.

SERVICES: 10 a.m. Friday, July 18, in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Adams officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.

VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 17, in the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home.

MEMORIALS: Disabled American Veterans.
