CAMP POINT, Ill. -- Sandra S. Kindhart, 69, of the Timberpoint Healthcare Center, formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died at 7:50 a.m. Friday (July 25, 2014) in the home in Camp Point. Born March 28, 1945, in Quincy, Sandy was a daughter of Robert and Esther O'Dear West. Sandy had been employed at the University of Iowa until her retirement because of ill health. She enjoyed watching the Food Network and will always be remembered for her exceptional cooking. Survivors include two daughters, Tiffany Colgrove of Camp Point, and Adrienne Kindhart of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Shawn Kindhart (Angie Haschemeyer) of Camp Point and Ryan Kindhart of Quincy; five grandchildren, Cody Colgrove, Hailey Baker, Justin Crockett, Brayden Kindhart and Mason Collins; two great-grandchildren, Jace Mixer and Collin Baker; three sisters, Beverly Thompson (Tommy) of Plymouth, Sherry Snelgrove (Brent) of Alpharetta, Ga., and Debbie Lantz (David) of Camp Point; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. SERVICES: 10 a.m. Monday, July 28, in the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home, Camp Point, conducted by the Rev. Joe Tomich. Burial will be in South Side Cemetery, Clayton. VISITATION: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 27, in the funeral home. MEMORIALS: Blessing Foundation for Hospice or Timberpoint Healthcare Center.
