Mildred "Milly" Rossiter Obituary
LAGRANGE, MO. -- Mildred "Milly" Rossiter, 84, of LaGrange, died Wednesday (May 23, 2012) in the Lewis County Nursing Home in Canton, Mo.

Milly was born Jan. 10, 1928, in rural Canton, a daughter of Harry D. and Minnie C. Schaeffer Hogge. She graduated from Canton School. On June 16, 1948, she married Charles A. Rossiter in Canton. On Jan. 22, 1997, he was called home to build their final resting place.

She was employed 12 years with Motorola in Quincy, Ill., and 25 years at Heartland Resources as a volunteer later becoming the site director of the LaGrange Nutrition Center.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of LaGrange. She had been active in Cub Scouts, Sunbeams and Bible School. She enjoyed and was active in sports especially her youngest son slow-pitch softball team in her later years; she enjoyed camping and was a member of the Big River Goods Sams Club for several years.

She is survived by three children, H. Alec Rossiter and wife, Debbie, of Camp Verde, Ariz., Pamela V. Murphy and husband, Mark, of Kasson, Minn., and Tim R. Rossiter and wife, Lori, of LaGrange; eight grandchildren, Lana Clegg and husband, J.R., of Aurora, Colo., Jason Murphy and wife, Amy, of Kasson, Jayme Gulden of Bloomington, Minn., Jarin Rossiter and wife, Amy, of Studio City, Calif., Amber Ray and husband, Kyle, of Kahoka, Kim Brisby and husband, Jered, of Ottumwa, Iowa, Ashley Finch and husband, Kevin, of Keokuk, Iowa, and Jessica Cox and fiance, Jeff Mays, of Ewing; 17 great-grandchildren, Genevieve N., Emilee G. and Walter D. Clegg, Skylar A., Logan M. and Hayley C. Murphy, Cade M. Gulden, Annalise Smith, twins, Jerilynn and Jacklyn Ray, Kadance and Reece Brisby, Lane Charles Ray Rossiter, Michelle Finch, Sierra, Leigha Cox and Raygan Mays; one sister, Judy Brentz of Sweetwater, Texas; one brother, Dean Hogge and wife, Rosemary, of Fort Madison, Iowa, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; her parents; four sisters, Juanita Primm, Dorothy "Dottie" Prisner Garkie, Louise Dill and Betty Bartz; and several nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Saturday in the Davis Funeral Home in LaGrange, with the Rev. Jim Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Mark's Cemetery in LaGrange.

VISITATION: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Davis Funeral Home in LaGrange.
