LIBERTY, Ill. -- William A. "Bill" Knuffman, 90, of St. Vincent's Home in Quincy, formerly of Liberty, died on Monday (Dec. 24, 2012) in the home. He was born on Oct. 15, 1922, in Adams County, the son of Frank P. and Clara R. Meyer Knuffman. Bill was a lifelong farmer in the Liberty area. He enjoyed hunting and gardening. He was a longtime member of St. Brigid Catholic Church in Liberty. Survivors include a sister, Irene Baucom, and her husband, James Baucom Sr., and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Caroline C. Schenk and her husband, Earl, and Dorothy V. Rossmiller and her husband, Paul. SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Brigid Catholic Church in Liberty. Interment will be in St. Brigid Cemetery near Liberty. VISITATION: Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services in the church. MEMORIALS: St. Brigid Catholic Church or St. Vincent's Home. ARRANGEMENTS: Duker and Haugh Funeral Home, Quincy.
