Ruth Mueller, 83, of 2240 Elm, died Saturday (Jan. 12, 2013) in the North Adams Home. She was born Sept. 22, 1929, in St. Louis, Mo., a daughter of Leo and Mildred (Claus) Simons. She married Eugene L. "Smokey" Mueller on Oct. 20, 1951, in St. Peter Catholic Church. He died Jan. 23, 2011. Mrs. Mueller worked at Pipes Answering service for many years. She was also later a bookkeeper at several area businesses. In her earlier years, she was a speech correctionist and was also a certified Braille transcriber. Ruth was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Fan. She is survived by three sons, Leo Mueller and his wife, Nancy, Greg Mueller and his wife, Sally and Joe Mueller and his wife, Mary, all of Quincy; grandchildren: Christopher (Jennifer) Mueller; Barbara (Chad) Logsdon; Thomas Mueller and Matt (Sarah) Mueller; Nathan (Pagen) Mueller; Sarah Mueller, and Virginia and Joey Mueller; great-grandchildren: twins, Abby and Ally Mueller; Tanner Mueller; Hannah and Wyatt Mueller; Morgan Mueller, James Mueller; twins, Lucas and Logan and Lily Mueller. Nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. SERVICES: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
