Marcia Lou Fantz, 74, of 2130 Harrison, Quincy, died at 12:40 p.m. Monday (March 18, 2013), in the Good Samaritan Home. Marcia was born Feb. 4, 1939, in Quincy, the daughter of Loren and Evelyn Kuhlman Edwards. She married Bruce P. Fantz on Aug. 17, 1958, in Kinderhook. He died Dec. 24, 2006. She was a 1957 graduate of West Pike High School and attended Illinois State University for two years. She retired as a case coordinator with the Illinois Department of Rehabilitation Services in Quincy. Marcia was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys fan. She also enjoyed crocheting, traveling, painting and drawing. Survivors include her two children, Matt (Melissa) Fantz of Fowler, and Jennifer Fantz of Quincy; three special granddaughters; several nieces and nephews; and her four-legged friend, Ella. In addition to her husband, Bruce, Marcia was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Pat Ragan; and a brother, Jim Edwards. SERVICES: 11 a.m. Friday graveside services will be in the Akers Chapel Cemetery near Plainville, with the Rev Gayle Pope officiating.
