MARY ANN THERESA HOOK

Mary Ann Theresa Hook
(nee Bowman)
64, of Riverside, California passed away at home on Monday, April 14, 2014, after a long illness.
She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 22, 1949, to the late Marie V. Manager and Francis J. Bowman, Jr. Mary Ann graduated from Catholic High School and completed a 3-year nursing program at Church Home and Hospital in 1970. Mary Ann married James D. Hook, a Naval Academy graduate, on June 4, 1970. Mary Ann was a Registered Nurse specializing in pediatrics. She worked in pediatric intensive care units at Children's Hospital of Oakland and Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. In addition to being devoted to her family, Mary Ann was fond of playing cards, bowling and eating steamed crabs.
Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband, Jim, and her two children, Brian Hook and his wife Susan of Fontana, CA and Jeanelle Posch and her husband Chris, of Santa Barbara, CA. She is also survived by her two granddaughters, Ashley and Sydney Posch, her two step-grandsons, Joshua and Daniel Ten Eck, and her brother, Frank J. Bowman III of Nags Head, NC. 
The funeral will take place at 10:30am on Thursday, April 24th at Saint Francis De Sales Catholic Church (4269 Lime Street, Riverside, CA), with interment immediately following at Riverside National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The National Parkinson Foundation (www. parkinson.org).
