Morgon, Ralph

Ralph Morgon, 93, passed peacefully, January 29, 2013, surrounded by family. He is preceded by his wife, 5 brothers, and one sister. He leaves behind one brother and one sister, three children, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Ralph born in Pasadena, CA, was a World War II Navy veteran, and lifetime member of the U.S. Navy League & the Fireman's Relief Association. After the war, Ralph joined the Pasadena Fire Department in 1948, was promoted to Captain in 1956, and retired in 1975. His father William Ernest Morgon was also retired PFD, and his son is retired from the Carlsbad FD.

After retiring, Ralph and Billie enjoyed traveling. He was very proud, that while in his 70's, he learned to use a computer and the Internet. He enjoyed buying and selling stock, staying in contact with the Retired Firefighters Association, checking the latest coins on the U.S. Mint website (his favorite hobby) and dealing cards at his Timeshare.

Ralph lovingly cared for Billie who suffered with Alzheimer's. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations in Ralph's name may be made to the San Diego/Imperial Chapter.
