She loved music and for years was a subscriber to the Pasadena Symphony, the Los Angeles Symphony and the Hollywood Bowl.
When Nancy Benton married Matt Cunningham in 1956, she put her career on hold to become a full-time mother to his three children from a previous marriage, who were 10, six and two years of age at the time. "Nancy was an angel who took the responsibility of raising three children and did a grand job," says her son Steve Cunningham. "She was the best mom anyone could ever ask for. We will miss her deeply, but know that she has passed from this life into the arms of the Lord."
