Herbert Younker Obituary
Herbert Leroy Younker, a 48-year resident of Azusa, CA passed away May 28, 2012 at the age of 81. He was born November 26, 1930 in Buck Creek, Indiana to Lawrence and Wanda (Smith) Younker. Herbert was most proud of the 20 years he spent in the United States Air Force and Army. He served his country in post-war Korea and two tours of Vietnam. A hard worker his whole life, he took pride in whatever job he had. He was an avid sports fan, particularly of Purdue University teams and the L.A. Dodgers.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Georgie Rose Gabhart Younker, sister Delores Floyd, and brothers Joseph and Donald Younker. He is survived by sister Beverly Reeder of Lafayette, Indiana and his six children, Terry L. (Robert, dec.) McConkey, Wanda R. (Mark) Levy, Barbara A. Younker, Herbert L. (Terry) Younker, Jr., C. Wayne Younker, Tracy D. Younker. Those proud to call him grandpa include Richard & Henry Satterfield, Misty & Schanae Younker, and Benjamin & Rebecca Levy. A brief viewing will be held Monday, June 4, 2012 at 9:00 am at White's Funeral Home, Azusa followed by a funeral service at 11:OO am at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA. White's Funeral Home, Azusa (626-334-2921)
is assisting the family.
